RB,

I made a CLC Mill Creek 16.5, with a stripped deck. I have mostly paddled it solo, but, two people do fit quite well. It has plenty of capacity for camping gear for one person. With two it might be a little tight, but I think if you pack conservatively, it could be used by two on weekend camping trips. I think the total capacity is about 450 lbs. I recently did a 115 mile 4 day camping trip down the Chippewa and Mississippi River in Wisconsin and had no problems with it. I mainly paddle on the Mississippi and have had it out on some pretty windy days. Probably were two foot white caps. The waves weren't a problem, but it did get tough paddling into the wind. I think with the strong of wind, any boat would be difficult. Anyway, good luck and have fun with your projects.
