: Hey Bailey, You could also consider building with a lower grade of marine
: okoume.

: The BS 1088 okoume that everybody uses can run around $45 for a 4'x8' 4mm
: sheet. It has an A-grade face and an AA face. I think BS 6566 is around
: $30. It has a A face and a B face. The face plies aren't quite as pretty,
: but they're as pretty or more pretty than doorskins, and guaranteed to be
: durable in a marine environment.

I am actually using 6566 grade material(4mm hull and 3 mm deck) for the Mersanger 16. You can tell the difference between 1088 and 6566. YOu can also tell the difference between the good and bad sides. As long as you mark the bad side and place it on the inside you will be all set.

I got my wood for Noahs and they havent had the 1088 stuff for about 6 - 8 wks which is too bad. I probably would not buy from them again either. Bad experience.
