The only problem I could see with the wood dough is that you don't want to use it too thick. It is great for little cracks, or something the size of a nail or staple hole, but, tends "on anything thicker" to dry on the outside and stay moist and plyable on anything thicker or wider. If you have any gouges in the surface, wipe the wood dough on in multiple, thin layers and let dry before adding another layer. It dries in minutes, so, the wait won't be long.
