: I just had to brag a little.

: You may not believe this but we made this over the weekend. In all we used 4
: gal of polyester resin, 7 yards of 6oz fiberglass cloth, 7 yards of 1.5 oz
: fiberglass mat, the kayak mold, foot pegs, 4 people, an about 8 hours
: labor over two days.

: Now all I need is some paint.

Fast work Bill,

But you simply have to cut off your extended seams. If you haven't put a seam on the i/s, do a quick one now to hold it together and then trim off the extended seams flush. Roughen up the surface and put on a good o/s seam.

Unfortunately, you now have a hazard to your fingers or hands and to other boats and boater's fingers and hands. I have countless times mushed my hands and fingers betw boats, docks, rocks and my own slightly rough seams in doing rolls - just some skin damage but with yours I'd be call stubby!! - you simply must take them off.

And with your experience, it'll take only 10 min w/ a handsaw, sander or plane.
