Thanks lee. What you described is pretty much what I was expecting to do. I was also thinking of using a glue roller like the ones used to apply formica countertops to apply pressure and force out bubbles....anyone tried one of these? If I knew someone with vacuum equipment in the boston area, that would be fun to try also....but so far I haven't met anyone with that stuff.

As for your question about kayaks, my barn is getting pretty full. So far, the strippers I've built include a redbird canoe, a guillimot kayak, and a Rangely rowing boat....I've also helped my brothers build s&g kayaks and a rowing shell. I figure this runabout will take me about a year.....so I'm open to suggestions for the next project.
