On the subject of crystallization and long shelf life. I am still using twelve year out System Three epoxy. It has crystallized several times and been subjected to storage in varing temperatures down to 20 degrees (F). In it's old age I've had to run it through a paint filter to remove some of the stubburn crystals. The epoxy has also darkened with age. Hence, I only use it on the inside of my kayaks.
