: Does anyone know of a good place to buy fiberglass? I'd like to do some price
: comparisons and see if I'm really getting that good of a deal on my 3.2oz
: glass from Delta (at 1.20/ft for the 38" width).

The Newfound Woodworks has 4 oz (3.8 oz) x 27" cloth for $3.90/yard and 6 oz x 38" cloth for $5/yard. For kayaks we usually provide the 4 oz for both sides of the deck and the 6 oz for both sides of the hull. This provides a good balance of light weight and reasonable strength. We roll the cloth on a cardboard tube so it isn't creased.

You could save a little money by purchasing 6 oz x 60" cloth and cutting it in half for the hull. The downside to this is finding a clean 20' area to do this cutting in a home workshop.

We have produced a 78 minute fiberglassing video to help first time users with the techniques.

MAS epoxy costs $57.50/gal for resin and $45/gal for a half gallon of slow hardener. We can also provide all of the application supplies and answer technical questions to help you through the process.
