Hi Wayne;

I can't make any comparison because this is the one and only time I've ever used epoxy. I went for it because a friend at a local surf board manufacturer said they switched from West Systems to Ding-All some years ago because it was clearer, wets out better, has lots of UV protectant, and was cheaper. That is what they told me, I have no first-hand info myself. They have been using it for 5 years on some pretty expensive boards that have world-wide popularity, so I felt reasonably safe ordering it.

I've been told it is very popular with surf board makers in general. My experience with it was pretty positive, but I have nothing to compare it against, with one exception - I saw pictures of the various cured epoxies on the internet, "pucks in a cup" to compare colors. Ding-All is clearer than any of those. Many surf boards are made of balsa and white foam with heavy layups. All the boards I saw when I visited their factory that had white foam showing looked white! The artwork and whatnot under the glass looked perfectly rendered - It is clear, that much I can attest to!

Best Regards, Spidey
