I put the last strip into the deck of my Spring Run today. Still have to strip the coaming recess.

After sanding it once over, I'm not real happy with the color variations. It was free wood though! Has anybody used oxalic acid before epoxying, or water based stain maybe? I think it'd be pretty hard to stain around the pattern though, but acid would do the same to the redwood as the fir; tends to make the color variations less dramatic. Kind of bleaches the wood.
