Had a similar problem with the bow on my North Bay S&G, and I was additionally concerned with having just one layer of cloth on either bow or stern. Was advised to lay on two layers of bias ply cloth over the first three feet of the keep after some general fairing and smoothing was done. That's the bit the boat landed on when it fell from my garage ceiling --- 10 feet to the concrete floor --- and the vast majority of the damage done was to the concrete. Just cut a couple of swaths of fabric on a 45 degree angle and epoxy them on and fair them in. Works great!
