>Hi, I've got another pennypicher tip for those Makita hook and loop sanders ... I had a large project last summer (nothing to do with kayaks) and was running through a lot of the 5-pack hook and loop discs for $3/pack, while the local close-out store had brand name (Norton) adhesive back for $5 for a roll of 50 5" round disks. Just use the hook and loop until it is worn, then brush if off and apply an adhesive back right over it. When it is done, peel it off, then apply another. I was getting about 5 adhesives on to 1 loop back until the loops failed, then would have to start again with another loop back disk.

I'll be awfully embarrassed if I ever run into someone from this board - you'll probably think I'm building a kayak to save the $2 toll for the trip over the Newport bridge. Oh, well just killing time while waiting for my epoxy to cure.
