Jay, Duratuff is a great product and is much harder and scratch resistant than varnish. Three coats are needed for UV protection. I am not aware of any better one part product on the market. BUT the stuff is not easy to use. It dries so fast that it is hard to maintain a wet edge to get it to flow on smooth. I've done small jobs with a foam brush that looked ok but have had some bad reports from guys trying to finish kayaks. If you are setup for spray painting it can turn out beautiful. The jobs I have seen tend to have a little orange peel in the finish. A wetsand to 800 and a little buffing makes it actually gleam. This is the system that I intend to use on the deck of the boat I'm building. Without spray capabilities you might be better off with a good marine varnish. I did get one report from a professional floor finisher that he was having good luck with Duratuff and the foam pad painters. Also the stuff is pretty toxic when sprayed. A charcoal respirator is mandatory.
