Hi All,

Forgive me if this idea was discussed before.

I built a soapbox racer for my daughter a few years back. I painted it and then went to a local sign shop and had then make up the vinyl lettering for her name and race number. These are done in two colours with airbrush work on them which makes them a little fancy for a kayak.

However, a single colour image is pretty inexpensive and easy for them to do on their computer. The vinyl will not fade in sunlight.

You could also buy the vinyl and cut your own image by tracing it and cutting it out with an exacto knife. Works well but is a little time consuming. You can get sheets in any size and with a little practice can make some awesome images.

With this method your image is on top and can be changed without major work. You just heat slightly with a heatgun and peel it off.
