Of course you are right It is always a question of matching the length and the beam. But people in general often forget that a longer boat adds more wetted surface. If you are not planing to go any faster than 4-5 knots a 16' boat will do just fine.

funny remark, when americans goes metric they often chose cm but european enginers always use mm I think cm feels more like inch, just a thought
