Baking soda is a well known odor absorber. It is otherwise benign. sprinkle it liberally around the source of the odor, let it sit a few days and vaccuum it out. For anything with a mold/moldy smell use a mix of borax in water to wash things out, or just dust the area with dry borax and let it sit a few days.

Hope this helps.
