a) Hull inside. This is one area that will need a lot of tensile strength, as a blow on the outside of the hull will put tensile stresses on the innermost layer of your boat. Here is where the 10 oz. is a good idea.

Not that 10 oz. is bad on the outside of your boat--it will be great for abrasion resistance.

You could possibly even use 4 oz. inside and outside the deck to compensate for the added weight on the hull.
