Cathy -- If you're willing to build from plans, consider the Merganser 16 (from Shearwater Boats). My 17W is about 1/2 done, and I'm real pleased with the results. I really like the lines of the Merganser, and I wanted to stay away from Pygmy or CLC (due to their negativeness towards each other and only their way of building boats). Between this bulletin board and Eric (Eric Schade of Shearwater Boats and designed of the Merganser), all the questions I've had to date have been answered. Good luck in whatever you choose, and happy building. -- Greg
