Hi Chris, Sounds like a dreaded case of Bad Mix Ratio rearing its ugly head. I made some paddle blades when my resin pump was malfunctioning and the epoxy got to the consistency of jelly and never did harden. I ended up dumping everything in the trash.

Even if you didn't mix it well enough, there would be some spots that get hard. If nothing gets hard and you've got it warm enough, scrape Everything that is still wet off, and clean it well with new acetone.

I'm not sure how well new epoxy will stick to the bare wood that has been contaminated with the poorly mixed epoxy. I never did get a good bond on those paddle blades after contamination with "Bad" epoxy.

Scrape everything well, clean it with acetone, sand it down really hard, maybe another wipedown with acetone and try it again. If it still doesn't work, chalk it up to experience.

I hate to sound negative, but it's happened to me, too. Better luck next time!
