- 11 for the middle strip

- 18 for the bottom strip

- 3 for no strip

Thanks for all your insights. I plan to put in this accent strip in very much like Eric Schade did with his Atlantic, except it will be diamonds instead of zigzag triangles, and dark inside, light outside.

I'm starting to agree with the pro-bottom-strip voters. The longer triangles should match the lines of an 18'x21" boat better; I'll probably, though, increase the triangle spacing to 8" OC, rather than 6", so I keep good proportions.
