Hi Dean, I decided to go the Camelbak route and am glad I did. It fits nicely under my PFD and holds more than most bulky bottles. I've seen one that's made to fit on the outside of the PFD that looks pretty slick, But a camelbak could be adapted to go outside as well. I like the fact that it's great for a lot of other sports. I've been using it for skiing lately since winter has forced me out of paddling.
