used to live in mendocino, always loved looking at the distinctive and outrageous art/furniture at the art gallerys. $1200 for an end table,$15,000 for a desk. $30,000 for a recreation of a motorcycle in wood (could be faulty memory or the atmosphere) My personal favorite is a butt end of old growth redwood that a friend and I sliced up with an alaskan mill. 8ft x3ft x1 1/2"sections of curly redwood. sigh,looked like a gigantic stack of red incense.
