I put some epoxy on all the inside seam and assumed that the manual just failed to mention it. It certainly can't hurt. And if your like me, the boat will fall of the sawhorses at least twenty times during the building process. For me, stronger is definately better. I had plenty of epoxy left over - just try to mix it in small batches. I used an 1/8 measuring cup (2:1 -- 3/8 cup total) for most of my mixes.
