Sounds like a cool product, just what I should use to soundproof a metal structure (like a new car or a tin boat. I'll buy some this weekend.

For a kayak, it would relieve you of varnishing. It would add a pound or two. I don't think cleaning would be any harder than clear finishes, i mean sand etc could still be gotten out by flushing with water. Also easy to repair gouges.

The debris that collects in my boat does not scratch things up much, by the way.

Would it abrade your leg skin?

Why not try it and let us all know for sure...
