Then again the dings might have something to do with a new found game of kayak mount, paddle like crazy onto the back deck of a friends boat, someone else paddles onto your back deck , someone paddles onto their back deck,etc. Kind of an Escher like rafting up, it helps if you alternate plastic boat/wood boat/plastic to reduce the shredding. It's a pretty stable raft and houres d ourves (sp?) can be passed peson to person without the proximity of anchovy breath that comes with parallel rafting. Just make sure that the hardware on a friends boat isn't too sharp, one of the plastic boats had a metal padeye .....after skooting on a boat with my Mariner fresh polyester resin aroma wafted up,,zip went that gelcoat,,,,,metal padeye. so many things to consider
