I am also on the larger side of svelte at 240lbs. I build a Georgian Bay designed by Rob Macks at Laughing Loon (http://www.laughingloon.com/georgian.bay.html).

Mine has been great and I love the way it performs. '

At 24" the beam is a little wider than most, the cockpit is a little larger than most, and there is lots of legroom.

Give Rob a call and ask him about the weight - he is very friendly and helpful.
