They have minicell foam, neoprene of various types,misc. cloths, don't know their history but appear to have supplied glass whitewater kayak builders for a while, good folks, good service.

I like the al braces better because the are solid and I don't move mine around, they can get very sticky with sand, but I find that perception "keepers can slide off or with heavy use pop off (the foot peg) in our rental fleet about 1 in 8 need replacing in a year. But that is typical abuse. So al braces are not "that much" better, at least not worth delaying getting the boat in the water!
