Rick,

Final weight was more then I had hoped for. Topped the scale at about 90 pounds with oak seats. I think this was probably due to the stripped deck and my nonconservative use of epoxy. Extra weight not a problem in the water, but makes carring it or loading it on the truck alone a bit of a chore. Not sure how it would hold up in the rapids. I am debaiting doing a river trip where I may find some rocks to bump into. I'm sure it would get scratched up, but don't think small bangs would be a problem. Also, it is not as manuevable as most canoes, so making quick turns in a rapid situation would be tricky. Anyway over all I like the boat so far and am looking forward to putting it into more test situations.
