My Arctic Tern with full 6-oz cloth is much the same -- I was suprised at the bit of flexing I can feel, even in big waves, much less going over logs. This flex is actually a benefit. If the boat didn't flex, more damage would be done to your boat. Deeper scratches, etc. Dean
