I had a great time too. I really enjoyed paddling other boats.

My wife made the decision on what boat to build this winter. She HAD TO buy plans for a Redfish Spring Run. I really like the boat too, but I'll get my Arctic Tern back. I just hope that I can do close to as good of a job as Jo does on the ones he builds, They are works of art. His web sight does not do them justice.

Speaking of works of art Walt's Guillemot was incredible. He also is wonderful at paddle making. He is a true craftsman. It's too bad he is not connected to the Internet.

There was a boat photo shoot time on Saturday morning. There was a stripping and glassing demonstration. There was also a rolling demonstration, but there were no other volunteers to try it out in the chilly waters of Puget Sound. We also went for a group paddle in the afternoon. All those wood kayaks were quite a sight.

It was a great time to gather ideas and trade tips.

I also met a few people from my own neighborhood with wood boats. I look forward to paddling with them.

I'm already looking forward to next year. Hopefully I'll have the Spring Run there and a wood and fiberglass version of my Putz Walrus.
