Sorry. I forgot to answer your second question. At first the Eucalyptus was so stiff that I couldn't do anything with it. Every time I tried to bend it it just made a clean break. Then I remembered that our neighbor builds chairs. So, after talking to him I moved the boat and a few basic tools over to his shop and borrowed his steamer for a morning. Then they worked just as well as the Cypress. Incase you're wondering, the steamer was basically a pvc pipe 4" in diameter with steam pumpud into one end and a lid on the other. Watch out the wood gets pretty hot! Hope I could help.
