I joined the halves last night and now have a single piece to work on. I am soooo happy to reach this stage. I will be away from the project for about a week, so the inner seams will have plenty of time to cure.

I am trying to budget my time to make the boat seaworthy in time for an 8 day trip in the san juan islands with the boy scout troop. As I see it, from here the minimum list of required tasks remaining goes like this:

tape outer seam, 2 layers of 2 inch glass tape, and sand fair

hatches already cut, make seals

slots in deck already cut, sew webbing loops (18) for hatch covers and bungie tie down points

I still need a seat. no preferred ideas and no cheek plates (I skipped that step, but can retrofit if required)

end pours and toggles

willing to skip varnish until after trip.

What have I missed? All comments appreciated and thanks in advance.
