cont'd from 5/13:

A slight diversion from the deck fitting series, but in a little while I'll be stripping the cockpit and a couple of thigh brace ideas occurred to me. Two of the ideas just extend the cockpit stripping upstand or base to make the brace - add padding to suit, and the other merely uses corner moulding to achieve a similar result.

I'll probably try to use the vertical strip method as the flow of the wood strips visually integrates the brace and the cockpit upstand so well.

Anyway, this might give you some more ideas.
