the pygmy with an extra 1/2"-1" in the shear panel would be big enough for an extra 50lbs of stuff and still be an excellent day paddling boat. but if you really start considering carrying lots of stuff a clc lv 16 is the next thought...but I would go for the pygmy 13...who knows maybe Mr. Lockwood has a 15 ft lower volume boat in the works than the regular pygmy. I think it would be wonderful if he designed a 15'x21" kayak for the 140lb day paddler,or lighter tourer.
