Hi Romuald,

Based on the advise that I got on this bulletin board, I added a 3-inch fiberglass strip down the keel of my Chesapeake 18. It took a little extra time to feather in the edge but is well worth the protection. Others told stories of chine damage, however I decided to leave them alone.
