Free? Of course it is worth it ! it might even be worht a bit more.

Check out www.fibreglast.com They books and videos on how to fo all kinds of stuff with fiberglass. what you want to do is lay some fiberglas cloth or mat in that mold, wet it out with resin (probably using the less expensive polyester resin) and make parts you can join together for a kayak.

A trip to the library might turn up a book on htis, but otherwise, the information seems to come mostly from people who sell the fiberglassing materials. You'll need to learn how to prepare the mold, what fabrics to use, in what weights, and a few finishing tips. All htese should be covered in almost any basic book on molding with fiberglass.

Get, and read, a book on the topic first, ( or see a video, or both) Then if you have detailed questions you'll know enough of the language to ask the suppliers, and to understand their answers.
