Ross, Do these bags lay in your lap when the front buckles are unclipped? (forward-most end/back of bag still hanging) Or, did you just order it and haven't seen it yet?

I'm thinking about something similar. I've been using an old fanny pack for a deck bag, but the deck gets crowded quickly.

I was also considering hanging a 4" PVC "knee tube" that could have sealed ends to keep charts dry.
