Resin would probably cure to be hard and brittle. I am currently experimenting with a waterbased elastomeric roofing compound. The primer is called elasto-seal and the topcoat is called snow roof.

The manufacturer has a website www.snowroof.com/products.html

I'll put up a post when I have applied the finish. I'll also try to remember to e-mail you.
