Just so that it is explixitly stated:

I - and I am sure that there are a lot more - really appreciate engineering advice, it is one of the reasons to be here.

If there are arguments indicating that engineering advice given is wrong, then writing a message arguing that earlier given advice is wrong is also much appreciated. This is also engineering advice.

This said, I do accept that some persons prefere not to give, or to be careful giving, engineering advice for watever reason.

I am, however, slightly sad if the reason is that persons are sometimes attacked, and not thoughts felt to be incorrect.

If a person is thought to deserve to be attacked, then it is simple nettiquette not to attack person on a www board whatsoever. To attack wrong advice, however, this is one of the things www forums are for.

Sorry for preaching, but I will be very glad for concrete engineeering advice to be given by whoever has the knowlege, and so I urge us all to stay away from attacking persons.
