> flashing movement would be quite visible. I have 3" reflective tape on my paddle shaft close to the blade and a square of it on the blade but away from the tip so it doesn't get torn off. Those in my group that have the same set-up, can be seen quite clearly at night by other paddlers with headlamps or flashlights on their boats. It is useful for keeping track of others during a night paddle.
