From that famous line, "Damn the Torpedoes", No point in getting all the coats on at once, save some to cover the scratches. I am still amazed each time I take mine out, 9 of us went out yesterday for a 7 mile trip, not all strippers, some plastic, some wide, some with experience, some with little. My G-boat works so slick, I could stop and let the people in the rear catch up, then catch up easily with the front people, separated by about 200 yds. one thing though, the skeg makes a world of difference, lower it, set my course then paddle for maximum speed, correction strokes are rarely needed.
