I do quite a bit of trout fishing from my Cape Charles. I made a small platform that attaches to the foredeck with the bungies. It's about 10" x 20" or so, padded to protect the deck. Onto this, I attached a rod holder and a small tackle box. Bait and net hang from the bungies, and a paddle leash is a must. It works very well for trolling, and pretty well for still fishing too. I wouldnt want to hook into a big salmon or anything that could pull me over...
