The best way to locate the forward bulkhead is to customize it for your own legs. Sit down with your back against a wall and you legs out in front. Measure. Add 4" to 6" to this measurement for the distance between your back and the back of the coaming. Transfer this measurement from the the back of the coaming to the front deck to determine your bulkhead location.

I usually put the front hatch close to the bulkhead, don't forget the thickness of the bulkhead.

I usually put the rear bulkhead right behind the cockpit recess, and the hatch shortly behind the bulkhead.

The hatches can be pretty much anywhere you find convenient.
