I posted the original question and I have come to the same conclusion as you, Greg. I plan to pour the thinner mixture you describe into the end and then perform "roto-molding" in which I will roll the Yak across the lawn so it coats all the unseamed portions at the end. Then I will stand it up to create the solid portion for the grab handles. Unfortunately I'm out of epoxy and I'm really tiring of writting checks for this project.
