The answer may be in putting on the epoxy. My experience has been if its too cold the epoxy can "orange peel" that applies to the temperature of 1; the boat, 2; the room while applying and while curing, and 3; the epoxy. Make sure they are al warm, (at least 70 degrees) and the same temp. Also I get the nicest final epoxy finsh (and hence minimal sanding for finnish) by rolling the last coat, with low nap epoxy rollers, and smothing with a foam brush. AL
