In Nick's book he shows the creation of external stem pieces by wrapping thin strips of ash from the bottom of the kayak up over the bow. The same method is used for the stern. This seems to be done before the staples are removed, and therefore the forms are still inside. If this is right, then how do you do this and still get the hull and deck apart to remove the forms and fiberglass the insides?
