Hello, I used the reinforced packing tape on my guillemot and while yes it does leave little strings behind it is still the strongest tape to use and in my opinion the best tape for the job. The remnents of the tape clean off easy with a little mineral spirits. I would rather spend a few extra minutes cleaning up than have a problem with the hull and deck alignment.
