I don't have a carbide scraper but I just finished using an old spoke shave (my Grandfather's) on my Chesy 18 hull drips and the edge of the four inch protection strip. Worked like a champ. I did have to angle the iron to the direction of travel when the plywood was curved in the wrong direction (boat ends) but still it was an easy operation. I used the D&S Scarry Sharp System to sharpen the blade.
