I thickened my epoxy with silica fume for my scarf joints. When I glassed the hull, the joint all but disappeared. Except for that pesky pencil line I drew as a guide for the top of my scarf! I forgot to erase it before I epoxied the scarf and it was just deep enough in the joint that I couldn't sand it out without making a dip at the seam. If anyone looks at my boat, please don't point it out to anyone else!! *grin*
