1mm is of no significance. you have several times that room for adjustment when you are stitching the boat together. Just make sure you stitch the boat into a symetrical form - mainly watch the lengths of opposite sides. Slight variations in that adjustment will give you a crooked boat with more width on one side of center than the other.
