I never imagined there would be so much response to my post looking for advice. Thank you very much! Based on your advice I'm leaning toward a Chesapeake 17 now instead of the 18. I didn't really understand some of the advice about the stripped deck but I am planning on going to Noah's Marine in Toronto and I will be asking for Jason in person to explain the detials of his post. Again thanks.

I need more of your wisdom. I've only Kayaked around at the cottage so this will be my first camping/kayak expedition. What should I pack. Any experience with good tents, stoves, and more importantly clothing I should bring along. Is this an appropriate site for such questions?
